London's Open Garden Squares Weekend This Saturday & Sunday

Given how much I love exploring London's hidden corners,  I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go along to the 10th annual Open Garden Squares Weekend, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday. Many private garden squares across town that are normally closed to non-residents will be opening their gates to members of the public, while some of the other small public spaces around town are taking the opportunity to put on special activities for visitors.

In total 212 gardens are taking part this weekend, up from 181 last year. Entry to most of the gardens is entirely free of charge, however some are participating in a £10 shared ticket scheme - buying one ticket will allow you entry to all of those taking part in this scheme. I will be paying a visit to Bloomsbury and the City on Saturday (and I've listed the ones I'm visiting below if you're interested). You can keep an eye on last minute updates on Twitter, so why not go and have a look at a few for yourself?

  • Bedford Square
  • The British Medical Association Council Garden
  • Mecklenburgh Square
  • Draper's Hall Garden
  • Lincoln's Inn Gardens
  • Maughan Library and ISC Garden
