Fantastic Factology in the Olympic Park

As you will know, new parklands are being created in the Lower Lea Valley which will be part of the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games. As part of that process, the Olympic Delivery Authority has commissioned local artists and designers, The Klassnik Corporation, Riitta Ikonen and We Made That to create features for the new Queen Elizabeth Park.

One of their ideas is to put plaques on the park benches throughout the area which each have an interesting fact displayed on them, so they're asking Londoners to submit ideas through the "Fantastic Factology" site. Over 100 hundred facts have been submitted so far, and if you want to get ' hands on' there's a "Fact-Fest" workshop taking place at Stratford Old Town Hall from 12 until 4pm on Saturday 12 March where Riitta Ikonen will be exploring the themes of local industrial heritage, science and biodiversity.

If you can't get along to that, it's easy to submit your own ideas using the form on the "Fantastic Factology" website here. Submit an idea and you have the opportunity to be immortalised in the Olympic Park - good luck!
