An Exciting New Venue For London – The Park Theatre Opens On 8 May In Finsbury Park

London’s certainly got it’s fair share of theatres but you can never have enough of a good thing in my opinion, so it’s quite exciting to be able to talk about the opening of another – Finsbury Park gets in on the act from 8 May when the Park Theatre opens on Clifton Terrace.

Designed by David Hughes Architects, the Park Theatre is housed in a brand new building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and can accommodate 290 audience members in its two flexible auditoriums. The Spring/Summer season commences with a production of Melanie Marnich’s These Shining Lives in it’s 200-seat main space from 8 May (a play which deals with the lives of women workers in a Chicago factory of the 1920s), while it’s 90-seat studio will be christened on 14 May with a week long run of  The Truth About Psychopaths - a new play by Ben Tagoe looking at the harsh realities of what it takes to get ahead in 21st century Britain.

Other productions coming up later in the Park Theatre’s inaugural season include Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang, a new production of A School For Scandal and Thark by Ben Travers.

To find out more about the Park Theatre and everything that’s going to be happening throughout it’s exciting opening year, check out their website and keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
