Celebrating with vouchercodes.co.uk

I’m in a celebratory mood this afternoon, not just because of that fantastic England win in the World Cup but because those lovely people over at vouchercodes.co.uk provided some funds over the last few days to enable M and I to enjoy some tourist treats around London while he’s been here.

I’ve expounded their virtues before, but if you’re heading out for a nice meal it really does pay dividends to check out the promotions that are running at the vouchercodes.co.uk site before you go. For example, on Sunday evening in Leeds we had a lovely meal at Zizzi’s in Cloth Hall Street, using their ‘second main meal for a £1′ voucher, and yesterday had a late lunch at Strada (another nice Italian eaterie) which is a short walk from London Zoo down on Parkway in Camden Town, where we took advantage of their ‘two for one’ offer on main courses. We both agreed that they serve the freshest olives we’ve ever had – they tasted like they’d come off the tree about an hour before!

With our lovely summer weather continuing this is probably the ideal time to visit the capital, and if you’re not actually based in London there’s another great offer on at the moment where vouchercodes.co.uk have teamed up with hotels.com. Everyone knows that staying in London can be an expensive proposition, particularly if you want to treat yourself to somewhere rather classy, but the hotels.com offer provides 10% off the price of rooms at a whole range of London hotels at the moment, running until this Sunday, 27 June. If you’re visiting the ZSL London Zoo like we did, for example, you can get a discount on a stay at the opulent 5 star Landmark Hotel which is less than ten minutes walk away. If you’re a bit more budget-conscious, the offer also extends to the Hampstead Brittania, a 3 star less than a mile to the north. I should also note that hotels.com unlike a lot of their competitors offer price matching, so find a hotel that you’re interested in at a cheaper price elsewhere and they’ll meet that price – not bad at all! You can go straight to the 10% discount offer by using the direct link here.
