At a loose end tomorrow night and a fan of the Swedish music scene? If so there’s a free event at Islington’s Electrowerkz venue which will act as an introduction to the summer’s Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg. Two acts that are confirmed for the international music festival that takes place in the city from 8 to 10 August are participating – identical twins Say Lou Lou will be performing their chilled out and mesmerising single ‘Maybe You’ and upcoming track ‘Julian’, and there will also be a set from rising star Linnéa Martinsson, who performs her indie rock material under the moniker Lune.
The evening will also see DJs from Way Out West spinning classic Scandinavian tunes alongside BBC6 Music’s Adam Dineen, who you’ll know from Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service.
Doors open at 7:30pm with Say Lou Lou taking the stage at 8pm – grab free tickets for the event on Eventbrite here.
