Parklife London Beta Launched Today – Discover Your Local Green Spaces

parklife london websiteI’m often out and about exploring London’s less well-known green spaces for the Londoneer, but I know that many Londoners aren’t aware of the many places nearby that offer some respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and an opportunity to commune with nature. That’s why I was pleased to find out about the launch of a new website today – Parklife London, which has been produced by the City Bridge Trust, the City of London Corporation’s charity.

Focusing on three of the thirty-two London Boroughs initially, plus the City of London, the map currently exposes the green spaces in Lambeth, Hackney and Camden. Each ‘leaf’ on the map opens up to give you more information about  a particular spot, so you might find yourself discovering  the Elm Village open space near Camden Road on the London Overground, or discover Millfields Park in Clapton for example.

It’s really worth delving into Parklife London if you’re not very familiar with the open spaces around where you live – it’s already inspired me to pencil in a few future visits. If you’ve spotted an omission, the team at the City Bridge Trust would really like to  hear from you – contact them here. Happy walking!
