A London Advent Calendar – Day Twenty Two: The Parkland Walk

The twenty-second window on my London Advent Calendar hides a little sliver of the countryside that runs right through urban North London – the Parkland Walk. Connecting Finsbury Park with Highgate, this is a delightful spot for a stroll or a bit of exercise with the dog – it was created along the old LNER trackbed, which was abandoned in 1970.
