I always look forward to September every year, because during the month London hosts ‘Open House Weekend’ where lots of buildings that aren’t usually open to the general public throw open their doors to all-comers.
I visited several places this year, but the most fascinating of all was Lloyds Of London, the insurance house that has been serving shipping for centuries. It’s an amazing place – they even reconstructed a Robert Adam dining room on the top floor of this iconic modern building.
You can read about Lloyds Of London, and the other places I visited this year during Open House Weekend here and here on the Londoneer.
