My friends over at Thinking Bob, the new London social club that puts on debates, dinners, quizzes, treasure hunts and more are putting on a Race Night fundraiser for Children In Need this Friday, 16 November.
Taking place at the Devereux pub just off the Strand, they will be screening eight horse races from 7pm. Entry to the event is free – participants just bet £1 on each race with the pot for the winner being split between them and Children In Need (though of course you can elect to give all of your winnings to the charity if you want to!).
Thinking Bob events are great fun – I went along to one of their regular pub quizzes earlier in the year and had a fantastic evening, and met lots of interesting new people. Tomorrow night’s event has the added advantage of benefiting one of the most important charity events on the annual calendar.
