Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Celebrates 80 Years with Tickets For 5 Shillings

regents park open air theatre 80th anniversary 200 tickets for 25pThe Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is celebrating its 80th anniversary this Friday with a performance of ‘Ragtime the Musical’ where 200 of the tickets will be on sale for the 1932 price of 5 shillings, or 25p. Tickets are available from the Open Air Theatre’s website from 11am today so you’ll have to get in there quickly to snap them up.

Until 21 July, all performances of ‘Ragtime the Musical’ and Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ will also be on sale for £19.32 rather than the regular price. Both run until the end of this year’s season on 9 September 2012. If I manage to grab some tickets for myself expect a review of ‘Ragtime the Musical’ over the weekend…

UPDATE – well after struggling with the Open Air Theatre website for nearly 30 minutes and experiencing various errors and timeouts etc. I gave up on trying to book 2 of the 25p tickets for tomorrow night’s performance – hopefully some readers will have managed to grab them. If you did, you owe me a review by the way…
