BT’s ‘ArtBoxes’ On Show In London

I’m a little late to the party on this one, but prompted by a recent blogpost by LondonLiving, I thought I would go and seek out some of the BT ArtBoxes, old British telephone boxes that have been transformed in aid of Childline.

I could only find one today. It’s the bifurcated telephone box, ‘Slip’, by artist Gerry Judah, and I discovered it just to the west of the Tower of London. The ArtBoxes can be found across London but they won’t be around for ever – they’re all being auctioned off to provide funding for Childline, the charity that provides a telephone helpline to vulnerable children, and which celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year.

If you’ve found any others let me know in the comments below – I’ll try to get along and snap them…
