Given the recent developments around the future of the Olympic Stadium I’ve given up on predicting exactly what the legacy of the London games is likely to be, but I do know one thing with some certainty – London is going to be gifted with a new spectacular structure. Anish Kapoor’s ‘Orbit’ will stand 118 metres tall when it’s finished and as you’ll see from the photograph I took yesterday it’s almost finished, and it already dominates the skyline over Stratford.
