Manfrotto School of Xcellence Launches

You all know that I’m a rather keen amateur photographer – in fact I hardly go out of the house without my camera and lenses in a bag over my shoulder. Amongst my kit is a Manfrotto tripod – a tripod is essential for photographing landscapes, particularly in low light, and allow you to capture things like this…

Anyway, I’m sure that other photographers who read my blog will be interested in the recently launched ‘Manfrotto School of Xcellence‘, a series of monthly tutorial videos on all aspects of photography by Michael Freedman, a very widely respected photographer and author of several textbooks on the subject, and Scott Kelby, the editor and publisher of Photoshop User Magazine and an expert on this particular photographic tool. The most recent piece is one by Michael Freedman on where to place the horizon when photographing landscapes, but there’s a wealth of other information on the site including Flickr competitions for those who feel they have the necessary skills to compete with the best. Check it out!
