London Bloggers Meetup Group

After a few months away, I went over to the Doggett’s Coat and Badge at the southern end of Blackfriars Bridge earlier this evening for another great meeting of the London Bloggers Meetup group, organised as usual by Andy Bargery.

These evenings are a really good idea if you’re a fledgling blogger, or indeed if you’re thinking about blogging for the first time and are looking for inspiration, because you’re bound to meet all sorts of interesting people. Tonight the event was sponsored by Dell, who were showing off their new XPS machines with Intel’s latest generation of processors – very sexy! It was a bit disappointing that they didn’t bring along their tablet, the Streak, to play with though – I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one of those for quite a while! They were also there to talk about the ‘Dell Community‘ where you can go to discuss any problems that you might be having with their products, check out their latest news or just chat with other users. Andy Bargery, who has been running these events almost since the beginning, also gave an inspirational talk about blogging including the things to think about before you even get started on a blog, and some of the pitfalls to avoid.

There were lots of people that I knew there tonight but I did get a chance to chat to Sheridan from Movie-Moron.com for the first time. He and a bunch of associates run a very successful movie site full of reviews and features. Check it out – it’s rather good! Until next month…
