I just got in from this month’s London Bloggers Meetup, sponsored this time by our friends from lastminute.com (yes this is a shameless plug, but they were buying the drinks, and to be honest I’ve probably booked half my trips abroad with them in the last year – they’re much better than most of the competition on choice if you’re going to more obscure destinations – and when do I ever go anywhere mainstream?)
They’re currently running a competion ‘One Heck of a Summer’ offering one lucky winner an opportunity to tour the world for three months, including Dubai, New York, Barcelona, and other destinations. The only catch is that its a working holiday, as you’ll have to review your destinations – but not bad for three months of globetrotting More details of the competition can be found here on the lastminute.com blog, but again time is short – the closing date is 15 July!
We were also introduced to Jesse Boyce of PhileasBlog.net, an absolutely remarkable site that recounts the tales of two globe-trotting travel bloggers. Definitely worth a look!
For a change I took some photos tonight, including a rather nice shot of the BT tower which sits over the Carpenters Arms pub where we had the meetup. Not a bad place as it happens… click the link at the bottom of the photo for the album.
